RAYMOND HAYDEN ARTIST
ACCIDENTAL: Happening by chance, or unexpectedly; taking place not according to the usual course of things; by accident, unintentional. GRACE: Generous, free and totally unexpected and undeserved. Those are the two definitions I was drawn to. However, while researching, I also found definitions that related to music. ACCIDENTAL: A musical sign indicating a momentary departure from the key signature by raising or lowering a note. GRACE: A musical trill, turn, or appoggiatura. Well, now that gives a thought provoking question. Which definitions did musician Raymond Hayden draw from, to create his new musical masterpiece ACCIDENTAL GRACE? After listening to the entire album, I think he melded all of those definitions together. He’s just that kind of magical maestro, of the keyboards. I first listened to ACCIDENTAL GRACE during one of my PNW nature walks. It was so beautiful and healing. Within a few minutes, I felt the heavy burdens I had been carrying, lifted off of my shoulders. All of the anger and frustration I was holding onto, was carried off in a gust of wind. POOF! Instead of trying to “Walk fast and sweat it out”, I slowed down and looked up at the beauty surrounding me. The air was lighter, and the colors brighter. Instead of being lost in my mind, engaging in a one sided mental battle, I was awake and present. Although, I was using my phone to listen to Ray’s music, I wasn’t looking at it. I became fully aware of the beauty that was unfolding in that very instant of my life. By the end, I felt myself singing along in harmony, to the notes that were flowing through my ears. And I was smiling. Beautiful. Spiritual. Healing. My Frustration Filled Spirit didn’t deserve that surprise, musical gift that Raymond Hayden sent me. However, I am so glad I accepted it. And that’s the beauty of Grace. PLEASE accept That Gift yourself, and allow yourself to dwell in the musical presence of Raymond Hayden’s ACCIDENTAL GRACE. It’s not an accident you’re reading this review. Listen and Be Blessed. LET’S ( softly) ROCK! SUSAN IN SEATTLE
